Day 1

Arrival at Kruger National Park
The shared shuttle will depart OR Tambo Airport (Bus Terminal) at 07.45. Should you require a different pick-up location or time, please let us know. The drive from Johannesburg to the Drakensberg Mountains takes about 5 hours with a comfortable air conditioned vehicle. You will meet your guide at Ohrigstad and continue the tour in a private vehicle. Marvel at the sights of the scenic Panorama Route, before we make our way to Phalaborwa where you will spend the night in a self-catering lodge. Your guide will serve you a delicious Halaal meal.
 
Day 2

Morning boat cruise and private game reserve experience
Our day starts with an early breakfast then check out and depart to the boat cruise on Olifants River, which is in Big Five territory, so there is plenty of opportunity for animal viewing from the unique river view perspective. In the afternoon, we'll proceed to Tshukhudu Bush Camp, where you will embark on your first safari drive on the private game reserve that is Tshukhudu. You will spend the night in comfortable bungalows and enjoy a dinner prepared by your guide.

Day 3-4

Morning walk and departure to Kruger National Park

Before breakfast, a Tshukhudu ranger takes you on a bush walk which is a unique opportunity to see animal signs and tracks while embracing the African bush with all your senses. Back at the camp, your guide will have prepared breakfast for you before your departure to Kruger National Park. We will spend the next 2 days in the national park on safari with an open safari vehicle (OSV). This car gives you a 180 degrees panoramic view of the African savanna which is a perfect vantage point to see over high grasses and bushes. It creates brilliant photographic opportunities. Your expert guide provides incredible insights and captivating information about the African bush and its inhabitants. We will spend the night at one of the Kruger National Park rest camps in Kruger's standard twin ensuite bungalows.

Day 5
​
Last game drive and return to Johannesburg
After an early departure on the last safari of this tour we drive towards the nearest exit gate and back to Hoedspruit, where the shared shuttle departs at 11.00. You are scheduled to arrive at OR Tambo Airport around 18.00.
